RIJDER SEEDS is a family-owned company founded by Dutch immigrants in 1956. Initially engaged in seed production in Oregon, in 2015, it opened its own breeding division in California.
Rijder Seeds specializes in tomatoes and cucumbers for plastic greenhouses, field production, and processing, as well as peppers, cabbage, lettuce, and celery. The company’s rapid growth in this area was made possible by the addition of experienced specialists from previously well-known, but highly specialized companies.

A key feature of our company is that we were the first to establish a seed distribution network with dealers having full control over seed storage conditions. When delivering seeds to producers, we use special insulated containers and oversee the storage process outside of our warehouses. This innovation has allowed us to achieve a virtually complete absence of germination issues.

We actively collaborate with major research centers in our breeding program, enabling us to develop new hybrids with unique characteristics and excellent disease resistance. Our openness to collaboration and interaction with top specialists in the United States are the cornerstones of our success.
